WHY CROOK'D
HOOK'R?

A boat name, a running joke, a group of fishermen, and a reason to document everything that happens between leaving the driveway and getting home.

Origin Story

It started at Pickwick

The name began during a Minn Kota Owner's Tournament trip at Pickwick Lake State Park Resort. While the crew was getting rods ready, a joke about walking over to a nearby sketchy little bar, pizza pub, gas station and bait-shop kind of place turned into a name: the crooked hooker.

The joke stuck. Then the boat got the name. Then everybody at the ramp had something to say about it.

That is the spirit of Crook'd Hook'r. Serious about fishing, not overly serious about ourselves. The trips are real, the money is real, the fish are real, and the stories around them are usually the part everybody remembers.

FROM BOAT NAME TO FISHING BRAND

What started as a name on the side of a bass boat is becoming a way to document trips, build useful fishing intelligence, make media, support fishing communities, create gear, and see whether fishing can eventually help pay for fishing.
